How To Care For Your Hair

You may be new to this and there are some things you should know about virgin hair. This page will help you care for your hair properly.

SEAL YOUR WEFTS!

Although our wefts are top notch, if you wish to keep the hair for over 8 months we suggest that you seal your wefts. If you do not know how to seal your weft there are many YouTube channels that provide videos on how to seal them and what to seal them with. Any company that will lie/person that will lie and say they have no shedding at all is a company/person you shouldn't trust! All haie sheds even the hair we naturally have. What we can ensure is that the hair will not shed like an animal with globs of hair left in your palms. The way you treat the hair will determine that. It you sew through the wefts you are altering the weft and will cause it to shed more than normal. Sew around the weft when installing. Also seal your wefts! This will ensure VERY MINIMAL shedding as well as prolong the hair.

USE NON SULFATE PRODUCTS!

(Clarifying shampoo and a moisturizing conditioner)

Sulfate is virgin hairs worst enemy! It will cause the hair to dry out, matte and become your worst nightmare. Use mild products and even natural products that will help keep a nice balance to the hair and will add enough moisture to the hair. Co washing is a great way to do so and Organix has a great line of products for hair. DO NOT USE THE LIGHT BLUE BOTTLE OF THIS LINE! Although they do have some great products.. don't use this color bottle. It has ruined some hair (my personal experience)

SILK IS YOUR BEST FRIEND

Silk head wraps, pillows and etc will be get things to purchase for not only your newly aquired hair but for your regular hair. Cotton tends to break your ends and cause splits at night while your sleep and move your head against the pillow. We will soon offer these on our site as well.

AVOID HEAT!

You can apply heat to the hair, however just like hair growing from your head if you continuously apply heat, you will cause heat damage which will then shorten the life span of your hair and ruin the texture. Flexirods are a perfect heatless way to gain lush curls. Also after washing allow hair to air dry after you pat dried the hair. This will allow the original pattern to return to the hair.

COWASH THAT HAIR GIRL!

Co washing is a great way to maintain a great moisture balance with  your virgin hair. Use a non sulfate conditioner and allow the conditioner to coat your hair as if it were shampoo. Then rinse the hair, pat dry and allow to air dry.

Curly Hair!

Please braid the hair at night into 8 big braids with some oil or a styling product. Tie the hair down and go to sleep.

Wake up spray the hair lightly with a fine mist of water and allow the hair to air dry.

Curly hair is the highest of maintenance  and should be treated so. Do not think you are going to throw this hair into a pony tail and it will be fine in the morning! Curly hair needs extra care like the hair on your head!
